Through the Sacrament of Baptism, one is born into the new life of the Church as a son/daughter of God. In this Sacrament, God washes away the stain of Original Sin and gives us grace (supernatural strength to do the good). Baptism is just the beginning of your relationship with God, and is necessary for the salvation of your soul.
